Joan Stock, is currently in her 24th year of teaching, with 23 of those years as a being an adapted physical education teacher in the Cambridge-Isanti School District.  Joan has been active within the community and school district where she lives, having coached Special Olympics aquatics, adapted bowling, fast-pitch softball, volleyball and has enjoyed being a Certified American Red Cross (WSI) instructor for 19 years. Joan has authored and co-authored grants for K-12 school curriculum programs for implementation, curriculum equipment and to sustain existing programs.  Recently in 2012, the DAPE program at C-I was awarded the Education Minnesota Foundation Grant.  The grant money was used to purchase balance bikes and equipment for students receiving DAPE services, so that they could learn how to master riding a two wheeled bike at an earlier age.
